The NBA and the Olympics: Are they compatible?
I read this ESPN article a few months back, and I found myself wondering if the goals of the Olympics are even compatible with professional team sports?
It probably isn't a bad idea for us to get an official Olympic Basketball team together than can practice and play together for more than a couple of weeks every few years. It would also give a few more opportunities to all those folks who aspire to professional basketball careers, but have to compete for on few NBA slots, plus the European league.
At face value, I can't disagree with Chuck's suggestion. It's crazy enough that it just might work!
